About Lady

This beauty is Lady. She is 3 years old. We love her already. We are working hard to get to know everything about her. We first met her in mid-June. Lady was a bit shy and reserved, but always as sweet as they come. Her first inclination is to give kisses! She has shown to be a gentle girl with polite manners. Depending on the kiddos in her new home, she may do awesome as a fursister. Most likely, it'd be great for children to be about 8 and older for her. Lady first came to the shelter and had scars and scabs from fly bites. We have been treating her and she is already improving and is looking more beautiful each day. She has been a complete gem for exams and has a rock solid temperament with people. Lady is a pup that will need to be supervised when outside. She looks for opportunities to climb fences and escape. Lady is accustomed to living outside in a crate, so her new owners will need to be patient with her as she adjusts. We are still watching Lady's animal interactions. We think she would do best as the only furbaby in her new home. But, she may do okay if any resident dog is non-reactive and submissive and there is a proper introduction. To add to Lady's needs, she is also heartworm positive. Please don't let this be a deterrent to you. We realize that this can be a bit of a challenge and we offer financial assistance to adopters for the treatment! We will help you through it! We can't wait to meet the family that is going to give Lady the chance she has been waiting for for 3 years: to be an inside dog who is intertwined and plays a roll in her new family's life. She will be amazing - we can already tell!
