About Pixie

Say hello to Pixie. This petite little girl is one of the breeder 5 that came in a few months ago. Pixie is a 6 year old sweet girl who may start out being very timid, but warms up and becomes a lovebug. Pixie needs a quiet home, with people that will have the patience to allow her to settle in and understand she is safe and loved. She will need a home with no children. Pixie has found that freedom is fun. We believe she spent a lot of time in her crate before coming to us and she has continued to go to the crate as her safe place, but we don't close the door on it. She loves to run in the yard, so a fenced yard is a must and she has come to truly love having companion dogs to hang out with, so friendly dogs are also a must. She doesn't even mind a cat. She has come far on her leash training and housebreaking and may just need to continue her training. She hasn't had any accidents in the house for a while now, but the stress of going to a new home may cause some setbacks. Pixie has been spayed and received all her shots. Again, here are the requirements to be considered to adopt Pixie: *A patient home with someone who is around most of the time. Retired, work from home are great choices. *A securely fenced yard is a must. She enjoys free running around the yard chasing lizards. *Another friendly dog or dogs are also a must. She really appreciates having friends to spend time with, but she must be given time to get to know them before she starts to run with them. We aren't sure a dog park will be a good option because of this. *We would prefer having a crate available for her as she may need the security of the crate while she gets used to her new home. (Please do not go buy a crate until you are told definitely if you have been chosen to adopt) If you are interested in adopting Pixie and have already filled out an app and received a confirmation email, please let us know.
