About Guhner

Adoption Fee: $40
Pit Bull / Poodle
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] This little guy is Guhner, he is a year old and he is in need of a new home. His father is a 50lb Blue Pitbull and Mother is a 14lb White Toy Poodle. Guhner himself probably weighs about 10lbs. Very lean built and small body structure. He has not been fixed (neutered) yet Guhner's temperament is laid back. He is very affectionate, eager to please and loves to be the center of attention. He is always happiest when curled up in your lap to love on you and give plenty of hugs. He loves to be held as you sit on the couch or in bed, as long as he's right under you. One of his favorite pass times is to go out on short walks to enjoy the sun and swimming. He tires easily in the heat and does not do well in the cold. Guhner is currently up to date on all vaccinations and is on trifexis heartworm preventative but will be due to go to vet for his 1year updates on shots and preventative. He is currently living in home with our six year old son and plays well with him and all his friends. Guhner has a lot of patience for people and tends to shy away from other animals. He would definitely like to sit with a person rather than play with other animals. A few commands he knows, Sit, Lay down, Give paw and wait. Now that you've read all the great things about Guhner, here are the area's where he could use some extra help becoming the best dog that he can be. He needs to go to a loving family or person that has the time to dedicate to him and his needs. Guhner is considered 'Special Needs'. His brain is not fully developed, which causes him to be a bit slow most of the time. You may need to call his name and repeat commands a few times as he looks around for where the voice is coming from. (He is not deaf) You will have to take him out about every two hours for his bathroom needs. (Tries his best to hold it) He generally does well at night, holding it in his crate but does have an accidents in his sleep. (We use puppy pads) He will have an episode and bite his paws at times. (We keep him under us and give him plenty of chew treats to help prevent this) We are looking to re-home Guhner because we no longer not have the time to dedicate to him as he needs and he is so loving and full of life and we would love to see him go to a loving home that has the level of care and dedication with patience he requires.
