This stunning boy is Bandit. He is a McNab / Border Collie mix and, for those of you who know what this is, you know how rare it is to find one in rescue. Bandit was born on August 27, 2017 and weighs about 45 pounds. We think he will end up 50 pounds. Bandit learns so fast! He picked up sit in a day. He knows his name. His foster mom is keeping the learning going. He is house and crate trained and is a polite boy. He is also a fun boy. He loves dogs of all sizes and is a good pal at the dog park. He has met a cat and seems polite with them so far. Bandit likes to play tug and will likely enjoy learning to fetch. This breed excels at dog sports and he should be no exception. Bandit will be a fantastic adventure partner. He is learning about the leash and car rides. He has wonderful energy and, with those long legs, should be a fantastic hiking and jogging buddy. Bandit needs a family who will go slow. He is very biddable and has a lovely temperament. He just wasn't socialized for the first 9 months of his life so welcomes someone who takes their time. He is already progressing quickly! He is slow to warm up to people and will take a few weeks to truly settle into his new home. He is already starting to approach new people to say hi...and he will keep progressing quickly. However, he is not available to a home with small kids. In the right home he will show his true self: a total love. He likes to rest his head in his foster mom to get attention and he blossoms more every day. He now even gives her kisses! Bandit is current on vaccinations and is neutered. We do not ship our dogs. He is available for a meeting and adoption in SoCal. A home visit and vet reference are required.
