About Huxley

We rescued Huxley Jan 2018. He was found starving and covered in mange. approx. 5 mos at the time. He has made a full recovery. He is a sweet dog loves cuddling, loves long walks and runs in the park. listens well off leash. good on leash. Loves to play with the other female dogs in the home but does not get along with the male dogs. He shows fear aggression with our male dogs and therefore this is not a safe home for him. He is neutered, and up to date on shots. He is approx. one year old as of June 2018. He will make a wonderful and loyal pet but we feel strongly that he needs to be an only dog, or homed with only female spayed dogs, or non dominate female dogs. He is an indoor trained dog, will use a kennel for short term but has never really spent time in a kennel. He loves being outdoors (weather permitting) and rarely barks or complains. He is a climber so the yard must be secure. He prefers being indoors with his family. He knows commands like Sit, wait, no, down, off, good boy, bad boy, drop it. We love Huxley and wish that we could keep him, but cannot do to our other male dogs.
