About Hermoine AKA 'Joni'

Adoption Fee: $250
Chihuahua mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Hermoine just turned a year old. She is a small Chihuahua at 9 lbs. She is described by her foster home as a 'velcro dog' (wants to be where you are). She does well on pee pads and working on potty training. Did fine with other dogs and cats. Appears afraid of children - she looks for her kennel when they are around as they appear to make her nervous. Love a lap and lots of laws. She uses her paws to get your attention. She is a little on the shy side. Applications for adoption are on our website at www.patriotsforpets.com and should be completed if interested in adopting from Patriots. Adoption fee is $250.00. Adoption fee includes spay, current on shots, heartworm negative, current on heartguard and flea/tick preventative and micro-chipped. UPDATE ON HERMOINIE Now called Joni. Joni came into Patriots very terrified. It took her awhile to trust humans. There was no aggression just fear of everything. She came to foster with me and started to relax and let go of the fear. She has gain a lot of confidence and has warmed up quickly. She still is timid an needs time to warm up to strangers but once she does she is a total love bug. She loves to cuddle on your lap and snuggle in at night with you in bed. Once she trusts she is like Velcro to her human. Every where you go she goes. Joni loves to play with toys and play tug of war with any object she can find to use. Mostly with her blanket. Which she loves to cover up with. She is not completely house trained but is doing a better job of it with lots of outside time. If she does not get out in time she will use a pee pad and not go on the floor. She is learning to let you know when she needs out. So if she starts pawing at you it is her way of letting you know she ants one of two things. attention or outside. Joni is excellent with other dogs and cats. Although she will get a little jealous of others getting her attention and growls to warn them off. Telling her no makes her stop instantly and carries on sharing. I would not recommend small children with Joni unless they are very respect full of her. They seem to make her nervous. She still gets nervous when things get wild and crazy and noisy. She will find a place to hide. She is also very frightened of thunder and the fireworks. Although she loves to play a medium to low key calm home would be good for her. If you are interested Joni is back at the shelter and ready for visitors.
