About Jenday/Sun Conure

Tuco is a very ornary little girl. She was kept in a cage for the first five years of her life, and was rarely ever interacted with. She was surrendered to us with her mate who long since has passed, and she had quite a few health problems that prevented her from standing and walking correctly and caused her a great deal of pain. Because of having to live with years of chronic pain, Tuco is very afraid of stepping onto hands or fingers and therefore it takes her a little while to come out of her shell. She is very vocal and sweet, and loves to have her head rubbed. Tuco recently underwent an amputation of a digit on her foot to enable her to walk more easily and without pain. She has healed well from it and it doesn't seem to negatively affect her at all. Tuco is a very expensive species and frequently they go for well over $500 from pet stores.
