About Jet

Meet our Jet! He is a black poodle-mix who is 4 years old and weighs 14 lbs. Jet came into Puppy Pals Rescue when we were notified that he was at a shelter up North and needed our help. He was an owner surrender who said he peed too much; but, refused to neuter him or attempt to take him out. We sprung Jet out of the shelter! He did well on the trip back to Beavercreek. Since being with PPR, Jet was taken to our vet's office for an examination and received his shots, was heartworm and fecal tested (both results negative), micro-chipped and scheduled for neuter. He is now neutered and ready for a forever home. We continue to work on his house-training and he's doing much better. We feel that since he was neutered this might make a major difference. He doesn't mind wearing belly bands if this is an option. He goes outside to potty just fine. He will sit and give you high 5. Jet is a happy go lucky fella! He loves to be around people. In our opinion, Jet was owned by someone who didn't take the time or effort to train him. He is a very sweet and handsome guy. He loves to cuddle. He does appear to be crate and leash trained. He does require being let out often and probably can't 'hold it' more than 6 hours. He really needs a fenced-in yard. He does great in the car. He has made some nursing home visits and did great. Jet enjoyed all the attention and pats on the head. Jet would fit into a family very well. He loves attention and the energy that children can bring to his life. He will need you to continue his house-training and possibly attend an obedience training class (if able). Jet hasn't been with larger dogs and at times can be alpha to other males his size. If he was to be a 2nd dog as a companion, it might be best if the other dog was a female. If a male, we would have the dogs meet and get to know one another to see how they get along. Jet adjusted very well in his foster home and has been a pleasure to have around. He's a wonderful dog!
