About Bowie

Hello, my name is Bowie! Aside from my excellent taste in music, I would say my best personality traits are enthusiasm and good interviewing skills. My foster mom says I'm a fast learner; I've learned that jumping is a no-no, sit is what good boys do, and I'm working on 'wait.' If you come visit me at Petsmart on Saturday, I can show you my good boy skills! I am a 2 year old, 40 pound boxer mix. My foster mom pulled me from the shelter in Lyndhurst and she told me you wouldn't be able to resist my smile (and just might take me home with you). I am great with dogs, cats, and kids. I am very affectionate and I require at least ten kisses and hugs every day to sustain my handsome physique. Augusta Dog Adoptions had me treated for heart worms and now I'm ready to find my forever home (which is with you, in case you weren't sure). Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, VA every Saturday. A $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
