About Cali

My husband and I are looking for a new home for our dog Cali. She's a 7 year Lab/Pit/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. She loves people, is very energetic and listens well to commands (come, sit, shake, stay). As new parents, we've found Cali would happiest in a home without small children as they make her nervous. The decision to re-home her is breaking our hearts, but we are new parents and simply can't risk anything happening to our little girl. We feel Cali would do best in a kid-free home, without any other pets or with a mellow, neutered male doggie. We have a male Weimaraner and they get along just fine. In fact, they are going to miss each other very much. She would be a perfect companion for an active person or couple who loves to be outdoors. She needs to be exercised regularly and we've found when she is exercised, she's a much happier, calmer dog. She is 7 after all, so she is slowing down a bit but she still loves going for hikes and walks. Again, she's such a lover and such a happy dog, but she needs more attention than we can give her at the moment. We are hoping to find her a loving, forever home where she can enjoy the rest of her doggy life. She is spayed, 100% house broken, up to date on all shots, is microchipped and will come to her new home with her dog bed, food/water bowls, her gentle leader harness and leash, and a bag of food.
