If this dog were a human she'd be considered the total package. Genius IQ, effortlessly stunning, athletic and loving. She is strongly border collie, that's where she gets her smarts from. She will stare at you as a way of letting you know she wants to talk, and when you ask her what she wants, she will get up and guide you to her food, the backdoor, or she'll even place your hand where she wants to be pet. And her intuition is borderline psychic. If you even think about taking her on a walk, she's heading for her leash. Speaking of leashes, she loves going on walks and runs, a jogger would love to have her as their running buddy. But she will also run by herself happily chasing squirrels all day, every day as long as she has a large yard to do so. She would not be happy in an apartment or a small yard. That's just another border collie thing. And even though she would do best in a house without other dogs (to be honest, she would do fine in a house with other dogs, it's the other, more submissive, dogs that would be a bit miserable being bossed around), she gets along fine with them at the dog park. She loves playing with other dogs as dominant and athletic as she is. A house without any cats or small animals is an absolute must. It's those border collie instincts coming through again. Same goes for infants and small children. Even though she is loving and gentle to kids when she is around them, eventually this breed wants to treat them like sheep and kids aren't happy being treated like livestock. She will fit wonderfully in a house with adults or older children though. She loves being around people. A single person house would also work because she loves the undivided attention. She is very well house trained. She goes to the door to let you know she needs to go out. She will not get on the furniture unless you let her. And since she is so smart if she has a special spot on the couch that she's allowed on, she knows to stick to that spot. Grooming is practically a non requirement. Her coat is so silky that it doesn't require brushing, but she loves having her chest and belly brushed anyway. Her coat also grows naturally into the perfect haircut so she never needs to be trimmed. On a final note, some of her favorite things. -Squeaky toys. She goes absolute crazy for them and only them. -Squirrels. Another thing she goes crazy for. Say the word squirrel and her cute little ears pop up and she starts looking around excitedly for where it is. -The outdoors. Talk about a place to run free. Anyone who hikes would be the perfect companion for this girl.
