About Titan

German Shepherd
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

6/07/18-S Titan is a male German Shepherd and is 1 yrs old and weighs 62 lbs. He was found on Dewberry Rd. Vet care provide 281.70,Titan presented for being painful when his chest was touched and limping on the right back leg, physical exam revealed ataxia in hind limbs, pain in the thoracolumbar spine and lateral thorax,he has draining wound over the right elbow and multiple superfical moist ulcerated lesions on the ventral abdomen near the prepuce. The lesions on his abdomen are most likely road rash,he has severe, chronic bacterial infection in his ears. The left ear is much more affected,if he has a pelvic fracture, which we would need radiographs to confirm,it is most likely not affecting the weight bearing surfaces since he caqn walk and is able to stand from a sitting position.Strict rest for the next 6 weeks is strongly recommended,he can be leashed walked to go outside to eliminate and walk 5-10 mins on a leash 3 times daily for exercise.Continue Cefpodoxime ,Rimadyl and Tramadol as directed .Flush his ears out with the ear medication that was prescribed twice daily, the E-Collar should be left on at all times to prevent him from licking the abrasions on his abdomen.See back in 2 weeks. His ears are much improved and he is not painful when palpated along the thorax and thoracolumbar spine as befor with his previous exam. The draining lesion on the right elbow has not changed or healed. Recommend applying Biozide daily to the wound and placing him on a padded surface. You may leave the e-collar off if he is not licking at the elbow but it should remain on if he is. Recheck leg and ears in 7 days. Will be available 6-12-18.
