About Maggie

Sweet Maggie is 2.5 years old and currently weighs 9.1 pounds. Maggie is on a special medication/diet protocol for treating a genetic liver issue. She is being fostered in North Port, FL. UPDATED BIO 06/17/2018: Maggie was surrendered by her owners when they realized they were no longer able to care for her. She has been in her foster home for 3 months now and continues to thrive on her meds and special diet of Science Diet L/D. Maggie will need to be on this medication/special diet protocol for the rest of her life and she can live a long, happy and healthy life by adhering to this regimen. The approximate cost of her monthly meds and RX food is $30. This beautiful gal is totally worth every penny! Maggie doesn't know that her liver values are off a bit and acts just like any other young 2 �%BD year-old pup. She is very friendly and sweet - oh, and very active - and loves her foster mom and dad. And she loves to give kisses, too. Actually, Maggie loves everyone, including dogs of all sizes and even kitty cats! Maggie enjoys playing with toys, going on walks and especially loves running wild in the back yard, so a fenced-in backyard would be a bonus for this little angel. She will keep her family smiling just seeing her enjoying her happy life. PLEASE NOTE: Maggie can be adopted into a home with children over the age of 12.
