Electra This tiny puppy is a chihuahua mix who came to the shelter with her fluffy sister Honey Bee. Electra is 9 weeks old. Seen here flashing a grin at having caused kitten Dali's sister to leave a spot where Electra happily moved in. Arrival date June 4, 2018 when 6 1/2 weeks old. Questions can be addressed by calling 706-865-4135. Adoption fee $100. She has been dewormed and has age appropriate vaccines. Spay/neuter and rabies vaccine provided by our servicing vets when of appropriate age. If you can offer a safe indoor only home, submit an application online or at the shelter after a get acquainted visit. The online form may generate a 'Fatal Error' message after submission which is to be ignored. It is a system glitch and the submission HAS gone through. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet, a call to landlord if renting and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. Those who are not in a nearby community will have a virtual home visit. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter which provides quality care, spay/neuter-all vaccines, deworming, vet exam, standard disease testing and for dogs-monthly heart worm prevention treatment. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open. Adoption hours are Tues-Sat 10-4 and Sun 1-4.
