About Buzz

Buzz is a great 45-pound, approx 14-month old Catahoula mix. He was rescued from a suburban Dallas shelter about 9 months ago after he was apprehended as a stray. I have had Catahoula before, but obviously had forgotten how active they can be. I am now in an apartment and it is simply inadequate for this cute, affectionate sweetheart. Buzz has been fully obedience trained and Obeys a number of commands: 'come, sit, stay, heel, leave it, down, off, go potty,' and has now come to recognize 'wait for cars,' and 'cross.' He is very bright and extremely trainable. He flinches if men stand over him and obviously had some prior abuse issues. Buzz does not like loud, surprising noises but he is cool with thunder and fireworks. I love the little guy, but my work schedule has increased recently and I am feeling bad about having no yard. I walk him morning and evening and have a pet walker coming 5 days per week at present. But it would be best for him to have a yard. That is my major concern for his new home. He loves to run, socialize with other dogs at dog parks, chase balls, and loves to chew on sticks; he will carry them around on walks. He has not been around infants but is great around younger kids-my buddy has very active boys ages 4 & 7 and Buzz is great with them. He loves Billjack chicken liver treats, watermelon, apples, bones, and loves sticks!
