About Lucy

My name is Lucy and I am a sweet girl. I was abandoned and left in an empty house. The neighbor took me in and kept me in her backyard for about a month before turning me over to the pound. I was adopted in March but because of health issues, my new Mom is unable to keep-up with my energy. I am only 45 lbs but solid and hard to move for her. I play well with other dogs when we go to the dog park every morning but my loud growl when I chase and play with other dogs can frighten some owners. I need to learn better manners and basic obedience. I once ate everything available but my chewing has decreased and while I regularly demolish my toys, I'm pretty good about leaving Mom's things alone. I am doggy door trained and never had an accident in the house. With training and 6 months of age gained, I should become the perfect companion for an active adult who would love to take me on runs, hikes and possibly a swim. My Mom is heartbroken to see me go but she underestimated my energy and high-spirits. Please help me find a good home where I'll be loved forever. I am a beautiful and sweet girl and deserve the best!
