About Mikey

Meet Mikey he is a 1 year old Retriever mix 57lbs Mikey 's very exuberant and happy. Likes to be with the pack. Likes to be petted. Loves to greet all. He's very affectionate and leans into you for a petting and or a hug. Mikey will also roll over in heartbeat for a belly rub. He has not displayed food aggression and does not seem to be motivated by food. However, He loves chicken tenders, hot dogs and cheese. When chicken tenders, hot dogs and or cheese were added to the dry dog food, he is able to select them from the dry dog food to eat. Mikey knows 'sit' and 'come' well. Very reluctant on 'down.' He displays selective intelligence in that he'll obey commands when you have chickens, cheese and or hot dogs as reward. He responded to yelling which I don't do well and not at all to my girls. He is not yet neutered. Mikey is very curious about his surroundings, especially the outdoors and all the creatures around. Mikey has the cutest cry when he doesn't see you and his tail becomes a windmill when he has visual contact of me I had accidentally left my back gate open yesterday while taking my trash out for today's pickup and Mikey didn't escape. He follow me part way out but turned back and followed me to the backyard.
