About Ziggy

Ziggy is a 3 year old, 16 pound Pomeranian mix. He is a friendly guy and loves attention. Ziggy does well with the other dogs in his foster home and thinks that cats are just other dogs to play with. He loves squeaky toys. If you pick one up and squeak it, you will have his undivided attention. Ziggy is house trained, has good house manners, and walks nicely on a leash. Ziggy is a calm guy and would not enjoy a home with young children. He does not like to be startled. Ziggy came to Iowa from a shelter in Kansas. He is heartworm positive and they didn't have the funds to help him. Ziggy is undergoing heartworm treatment following the American Heartworm Society's protocol. We would like Ziggy to be in his forever home bonding with his new family while he finishes treatment. We would put him in a foster to adopt situation and pay all of Ziggy's medical bills and provide all his meds until he is done with treatment. Then we would complete his adoption.
