About Kid

Meet little Kid a 10 months old female Terrier of 9 lbs with the cutest mohawk you can imagine. Kid is our little MIRACLE BABY. We pulled her 4 months ago from a high kill shelter where she was impounded as a stray and was paralyzed in the rear. She could not walk due to fractures on both hips and and possible spine damage which you can see on the x rays in this album. We consulted with a specialist and he determined that a surgery would do probably more bad than good since the fractures were older than 10 days. Her injuries were most likely caused by a horrible human causing traumatic force by either kicking the little dog or hitting it with a hard object as a bar or bat. We can just assume......... We were struggling with a decision not knowing if even a wheel chair would help to keep her pain free. But we saw that she was a fighter and didn't give up. This sweet little girl started slowly but surely moving around and unbelievably 3 months later she is up and running like nothing ever happened. She plays in the yard and even walk high steps. It is truly a miracle. Kid is a very sweet little thing but would prefer a home with small dogs as she is scared of bigger dogs. She is crate trained and rides fantastic in the car. Her little curly wire coat barely sheds. She is a sweet little angel and very easy to please. If yo would like to meet Kid, please send us a message in order to receive an application.
