About Pookie

He weighs about 10 pounds and was rescued for my daughter last year. He is incredibly sweet and housebroken (we limit him to one room). She ended up with a foster kid who hurts animals and she tried to kill him so I took him, but we have 3 other dogs, 1 cat and 3 birds. My little pom/terrier mix is extremely jealous of him (male) and they will try to fight over everything from food to sitting with me. He has no problems with the females we have. He plays with a squeaky throw toy a lot but mainly likes to sit with you. He is being groomed next week and they will try to cut his nails, they had never been done and it scares him for me to try. He originally went out on a leash to learn to be trained and he is crate trained but we don't use one, we have a hard and he goes right out. He has a deep bark that's rather funny. He is chipped. We were told he is a long hair chihuahua but he doesn't have the temperment of a typical one, he's very sweet. He likes to play tug of war with other dogs too. He's been around huge dogs and little dogs. Non smokers, he's never been around it and smoking and air fresheners are hard on little animals. The fee is 50, which is about 1/4 of what we spent to have him examined, neutered, shots, etc. This fee will go for supplies to our local shelter.
