About Rocky

Adoption Fee: $295
Boxer / Lab
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Male

Meet Rocky Lab / Boxer Mix 3 months old 15 lbs What Rocky lacks in size he makes up for with his huge personality. He is Mr. Fun! He loves to chase balls, play tug, and run around his yard. Rocky loves to play and wrestle with the other dogs in his foster home. After a good play session, he'll happily curl up in your arms for a nap (after a few kisses). Rocky has a gorgeous dark brown coat that's even more beautiful in person. Rocky came to Illinois from Tennessee where he was found in a bush. He had a skin infection but it was treated with an antibiotic and his vet says he's looking great now. He does have just a few small areas of near his mouth where his fur hasn't quite grown back. His foster family says this makes him extra cute and gives him character. Rocky is a puppy and is learning not to nip when playing. He's working on house training and is making progress! Rocky sleeps through the night snuggled up in his crate. Come meet Rocky today, he won't last long! Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies. Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a 'teen' or adult dog. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.
