About Thelma

Thelma is a 50-55lb 2-3 year-old female Labrador-mix. She is spayed and vaccinated. Thelma is looking for a someone who will provide her with strict boundaries in a structured home. Thelma is highly affectionate, well behaved and eager to please. However, she does have a mind of her own so boundaries are a must. Thankfully, the right home can help Thelma become the well-balanced, self-assured, relaxed, and best dog she can be. Thelma should be in a home with older dog-savvy children or adults. Thelma is highly intelligent and loves playing hide and seek games, she is also very food motivated. Thelma is house-trained; she will go to the door when she needs to 'go.' She is also crate-trained, but, has been left alone with free-roam for short periods of time. She does bark and whine initially when crated, but has not been destructive, and does settle down. We would recommend giving her a high-value treat that is only offered when she is crated. She knows, Sit, Paw, Lay-Down, and Come. She walks very well on a leash wearing a lead. Thelma would do best in a home as either the only pet or one other pet as she much prefers to have all of the attention from her people. Thelma is a sweet loving girl who, when she finds her forever home, will be a great companion and addition to that family.
