About Mija

OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. Hi Fam, My name is Mija, which is an endearing way to say 'my daughter' in Spanish. My name fits me perfectly because I am the probably the sweetest and kindest pup you'll ever meet! While I love every dog immediately when I meet them, I am actually a little shy towards humans at first. But that doesn't mean I don't love you too, because I definitely do! In fact, after w restling with other dogs, my next favorite thing to do is snuggle up right next to my foster mama to take a nap. And BOY do I love naps! A girl needs her beauty rest, right? I also get along great with my foster brother cat, and I'm sure I'll love children too! In addition to being the sweetest dog you'll meet, I'm also pretty cute too! I have loooong legs that are hard for me to control, so I run in the most awkward, yet adorably clumsy way ever! I have beautiful fur that likes to play tricks on your eyes, as sometimes it looks black and other times brown. I also have adorable, flopped over ears that make me irresistible! My foster parents say I'm one of the best foster puppies they've ever had! I'm perfectly crate trained. In fact, I LOVE my crate - I'll go in there on my own just to nap or play with some toys. I also sleep through the whole night (in my foster mama's arms) without any accidents or whining! The best thing about me, though, is that I'm 99% potty trained. I've only had about 2 accidents inside in the 2 weeks I've been with my foster family! So if you want a sweet, adorable, well-behaved puppy, I'm the girl for you! I'd be great with children, other dogs or cats, or as the only dog in the household! You better get your application in fast, though, because this clumsy puppy love is in high demand! Mija is a female lab/great dane mix estimated to be born on January 30, 2018. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
