About Buttercup

Say hello to Buttercup. She is a 3-year old Papillon/Chihuahua mix and weighs about 8 pounds. She was found as a stray wandering down the highway and we were happy to step up and take her into our rescue. Buttercup is a sassy, playful and inquisitive little girl. Her foster mom calls her 'my little monkey' because she likes to jump and climb. She has not warmed up to the big dog in her foster home but we think she will be fine with smaller dogs. She has not been tested with cats and would do better in a home without young children. Her housebreaking is a work in progress. She has had a few accidents, but that is expected as she gets accustomed to her new environment. She loves going outside and can use the doggy door. At night she sleeps in a playpen next to her foster mom. She jumps in the pen when she's tired and gets out if she needs to go outside while her foster mom is still sleeping.
