About Sasha

It is with a heavy heart that I seek to find a new home for my 3 year old girl, Sasha. Sasha is an under-socialized German Shepherd in need of an adult(s) only home with someone who is experienced with, and loves, German Shepherds enough to devote some time and resources on the front end to training her with the guidance of a professional. While I was able to make very real progress with her anxiety issues on my own early on (making her more train-'able'), my circumstances changed dramatically a year and a half ago and I am now forced to come to terms with the fact that I have been unable to consistently provide her with adequate play and exercise and I no longer have the resources available to me to go through the training that I know she requires and would surely benefit from. She is a bite risk, but she is not 'aggressive'. She is nervous around strangers and in unfamiliar places but does well on a leash especially if she is allowed to carry a large stick (more like a log) in her mouth. She loves water and trails and has lived in a home with teenagers, a cat and back yard chickens that she loved to 'herd'.
