About Karma

Who would of known when a few volunteers got together to help another volunteer, they would all be out in a field by the freeway saving a boxer. Living in a drain pipe, she was extremely skinny, cold, and terrified. In talking with others in the area, we learned that she had been living out there quite awhile and nobody had been able to get close to her. Determined she was not going to spend another night out there, they weren't giving up. Once caught, she just lay in our volunteers arms shaking, too scared to move. She was wearing a collar and part of a leash that was torn but no id tags or microchip. We reported her to the shelter, hoping somebody had filed a lost report, posted on facebook pages and waited.... nobody came to claim her. A few days after having her she wouldn't eat and started vomiting. We cannot imagine how hungry she had to be to eat a trash bag. There is not a mean bone in her body--she is the sweetest girl ever but so fearful she would hide in the house. With lots of love and patience from her foster family and her new 4-legged foster brother helping show her the way, Karma has slowly started coming out of her shell. She is learning how to play and will approach when called. No longer hides from you. She is giving kisses and now has a favorite toy. She is fantastic with kids and has a gentle soul. Karma needs her forever home, a quieter home with a family that can help her continue all the progress she has made, She will in return be the most loving and devoted friend.
