About Merlin

Meet sweet old man Merlin in looking for a home to live out his remaining years. This sweet guy has 12-14 year of experience being the best Beagle he can be. Merlin does have a lot of pain in hips and his gait is a lot slower but with some good medications he is starting to walk easier. Merlin will be available for adoption if someone would like to give him a home for whatever time he has left. His teeth are in good shape and he still enjoys chewing on a bone from time to time. He likes to take short walks (20-50 feet) a few times a day. Merlin tries hard to keep his housetraining skills going but sometimes he does have accidents in his sleep or when he can't get out soon enough. Merlin's perfect home with have no steps or just one wide step to the yard for bathroom breaks. Merlin needs a home with NO KIDS. His hips hurt very badly and he snaps if they get touched. For this reason he would do best in a home with NO dogs or only older dogs who are past their need to play. Merlin does have 2 tumors on him. The vet thinks one is a fatty tumor and we aren't sure on the other one. They were not tested as he is not a candidate to have them removed anyways. We are keeping Merlin as comfortable as we can at this time. He may not have much time left and we just want to see him live out his time in a home that loves and adores him.
