About Lexi

Adoption Fee: $85
Manx / Snowshoe
Age: Young Kitten
Sex: Female

Lexi is a wide eyed fluffy calico baby who is a special needs kitten. She is totally charming with a tiny voice and a bold spirit. She greatly enjoys trouncing other kittens especially her siblings. She is mildly affected by Manx Syndrome, a disorder of some Manx kitties which affects rear leg movement and can also create urinary/fecal issues. Her mother Lily is a Manx/Snowshoe/Siamese. She is a rumpy (totally tailless). She and her brother Dali display the wobbly hind leg movement alternating at times with a hopping movement that is distinctive of the disorder. At this time, they are lightning fast when they shift into running mode and grow stronger every day. She is not as adept at climbing as her kitten friends but nonetheless, is remarkable in that she does climb well and grows faster with this skill each day as her muscles develop. Lexi uses her litter box and while she is growing, will need some attention to her bottom with a wet wipe on occasion to help her stay tidy. As she matures she may be able to provide more total self cleaning skills. There are numerous articles online that will give interested adopters an understanding of the disorder, the potential symptoms and care measures required. Adopters will have access to a local adopter of a MS kitten who will offer support and suggestions for care. Her lovely boy is now 3 years old and had/has more advanced symptoms beginning in his kitten days. Adopters must be willing to provide regular veterinary care to stay current with her health and development. Adoption fee is $85. Lexi is 14 weeks old as of June 18, 2018. She is a bit small for her age. Questions about Lexi can be addressed by calling 706-865-4135 and speaking with the people who provide her daily care. She has been dewormed and has age appropriate vaccines. Spay and rabies vaccine provided by our servicing vets when of appropriate age.
