About Loki

Adoption Fee: $295
Lab mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Meet Loki Black Lab Mix 18 months 45 pounds Woof, I'm an 18-month black lab mix who recently made the long trip from TN to IL looking for my forever family. My foster family keeps calling me Loki but really I have no idea who they are talking about. Great news, we can come up with a name together. I promise I will learn to respond to it, I'm just a bit confused right now. I know how to go potty outside and I sleep in my crate at night and even choose it for naps during the day. I love people of all sized and live with a 4-year-old and a few older kids right now. They are great, more hands to pet me and snuggle with. I have a new foster dog brother about my age who is so much fun to play with. I love running around in the yard chasing him or playing tug a war with toys as long as there is a nap in my future. I am a pretty relaxed dog if you ask my foster family. I want to be super close when we are sitting down, if you have a lap to put my head or a shoulder to lean on we will be best friends. I realize sometimes I may lean on you a bit too hard and deep inside I know I am a lapdog. My foster family also has some small furry things that run around saying meow, I think they are toys to chase and it would probably be best if you don't have any cats who run away. My foster family introduced me to this thing called a leash, I don't remember ever having used one before but I am trying to figure it out. It is hard because there are so many amazing smells that I want to explore and I am a lot stronger than I realize. If you are looking for a new best friend please come meet me. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. Please consider becoming a foster home while you search for your new best friend. We need foster homes - pounds are overflowing with puppies and adult dogs that are at-risk and need help. We can only rescue as many as we have foster home commitments. Fostering is a rewarding experience for your family.
