About Bruce

Bruce is a 5- year old dachshund who loves to snuggle, take long walks and spend time with his people. He would love to have an active family that enjoys spending as much time with him as he would enjoy spending with them. Small children make Bruce nervous, so he would be happier in a home without them. He is extremely prey driven and will need a secure fenced yard. With proper introduction, Bruce would do well with a companion pup. He has just completed a bootcamp in socialization skills and did very well. The excellent training facility, Doggie Fun & Fitness in Kingston, MA, has offered to extend his training to his adopter. An adopter in that area that is willing to take them up on their generous offer is preferred. A home without a companion pup is not a deal breaker as long as his alone time is minimal. Bruce needs a home with an in-charge owner. He needs to know that he is not the one responsible for making decisions. His foster parents have been working very hard on building his confidence because confident dogs are less reactive Bruce does not like cats. If you're looking for a buddy to be your constant companion, then Bruce is your boy! If you are a busy person who is gone from home most of the day, he is probably not the best choice for you.
