About Earl

Earl is a wonderful and friendly basset hound-daschund mix who is about 4 years old. He is microchipped, neutered and up to date on all of his vaccinations, he is all set and ready to go to his forever home! He originally came from a life that was far from ideal, where he was denied the love, affection, and attention a dog needs to thrive. When he was eventually rescued, he was adopted out to a home with good intentions, but this situation was also not the best for him. He didn't have the stability and routine that is essential for a dog to feel comfortable and safe, and allows them to be and feel their best. Early was entrusted to the care of Famous Fido, where we will find him the best possible home. He is an overall great dog, and a staff and volunteer favorite! Earl is comfortable with other dogs, but would probably do best as the only dog or with canine playmates his own size. He is non-reactive with cats here at the rescue, but an intro is always recommended. With soulful copper brown eyes that express his quizzical and curious nature, unique look and playful gentle mood, Earl is a happy and overall great dog! He is happiest in your lap and will never turn down the opportunity to shower you with kisses! Earl would love a quiet home where he can relax and feel comfortable and safe.
