About Husker

Husker is a 5 1/2 year old lab pit mix. He has been a very special part of our family for the past 5 years. He likes to go for walks and he loves to go for runs. He will happily trot along side you for 10 minutes or an hour, whatever you're up for. He is very good off leash and will not stray more than a few feet and always comes when called. When you get home, he likes to cool off on the floor and will accept as many treats as you're willing to share. He loves standard dog treats but he also enjoys raw sweet potato, carrots, apple and banana. Inside the house, he is a snuggly boy and loves to curl up while watching a movie or taking a nap. He is one hundred percent house broken and understands basic commands like sit, lie down, and stay. He is good with children of all ages and loves to give lots of licks. His only downside is that he is not great in the car unless he rides in the front seat. For occasions when he cannot ride in the front seat, you can give him some all natural calming drops or a bully stick and he'll relax. Husker would be great for an individual or a family who can spend a lot of time with him. While he is totally fine being home alone all day, he loves people and is happiest when he is with his human friends. He gets along well with other dogs and loves a good chase around the dog park, woods or beach. It is with a heavy heart that we have started the process of rehoming our sweet Husker due to our young child's allergies. We want Husker to be part of a loving home and give his next family as many happy memories as he gave to us.
