About Jake

Jake has been in our family for 6 years now, though he is 8 years old. We are giving him up because of allergies that we have to him. He is very healthy and has had annual checkups each year. He is well cared for...he takes 1-2 mile walks every day, sleeps on the couch during the day, and sometimes likes to play with toys. He is just an easy-going dog that is not high maintenance. His favorite thing to do is taking walks on a leash. He is very soft...but he does shed a lot. He never chews on anything...but he is an opportunistic eater of human food if it is in his reach. He is great with our 3 children (age 1-14), does well with other dogs and cats when taken to our dog sitter, and easily meets strangers. He seems to have no fears. He barks whenever he hears any strange sounds outside...which is good for home protection but not good if you have a sleeping baby. He would do well in most any home, as long as he is inside living with his family and has a fenced in yard. I can provide all evidence of yearly exams/vaccinations. He is current on vaccinations and heartworm negative. He is on heartworm/flea/tick preventative currently. He comes with a free bag of dog food. Because we love our Jake, we will want to see where he would be living, so be prepared to show us.
