About Tucker

Tucker is a smart and lovable dog who has been part of our family since he was a puppy. He often tries to 'herd' our family into one room or another so he can watch over us. At our old home he had a lot of room to roam and one day he came back from a neighbors and we think someone attacked him. He had cuts on his neck and his personality changed because he became extremely fearful of people he doesn't know. He barks at strangers and if is given too much slack he will charge look as though he is going to attack BUT he has never bitten anyone. He barks at visitors to the house only until he gets used to them. Once he understands they are safe, he won't bark. Tucker is unfortunately extremely afraid of the veterinarian and we have had a difficult time finding him one. The vet we just tried to take him to recommended that we have him put down which breaks our hearts. As I said, he has never bitten anyone. We strongly believe that with time and the right training, Tucker would make a wonderful pet. Sadly my family doesn't have space for him at this time or the money for training. We live in an apartment now and I'm afraid Tucker will scare one of the neighbors and also cannot afford to be sued if he knocks someone down. We know that just the right person is out there to give our boy a forever home! Please contact us soon!
