About Tigger the smoocher

A big Texas howdy to you! My name is Tigger, and I'm a super-sweet, curious, active, playful light brindle 60-pound American Staffordshire Terrier mix fella with white paws and chest who was born in June 2013. I got my name because my brindle markings on my back look like a tiger. I'm a favorite pooch at my foster home because, even though I look like a bruiser of a tough guy, I'm a sweetheart who loves to shower my favorite humans with puppy kisses. I have a really kind temperament and an easy-going nature with adult humans, so my trainer imagines that I'd do really well with kids, although there are none in my foster home. Playtime is my favorite part of the day, but right now I play outside just with my humans because the large number of dogs overwhelmed me and made me anxious. And by the way, I'm not good with cats. I was found by a Good Samaritan as I was wandering the streets, and thank heavens I was brought to a dog boarding/ grooming salon where the proprietor has a soft place in her heart for homeless dudes like me. She seems to find the best homes for stray pooches, so I'm confident that she'll find the perfect adopters and a cozy forever home for me. Meanwhile, I'm just happy to be safe and off the streets and at a place where dog lovers hang out. No more wondering where my next meal will come from or how to avoid getting hit by a car! Not to mention that I'm getting some professional obedience/ behavioral training so my future adopters will fall in love with me in every way. Why don't you stop by and meet me? I promise to cover your face with kisses. That's why they call me 'the smoocher.' Tigger is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, and microchipped. He tested heartworm positive and is currently undergoing treatment, the cost of which Buster's Friends will assume. His adoption fee is $150, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends.
