About Chevy

Chevy is a male who weighs 60lbs and is about 1 year old. Chevy is a young Aussie mix, (maybe some Catahoula in there) looking for someone to provide him with love and guidance to help raise a wonderful canine citizen. He's well on his way! This boy is smart, responsive, and looking to please. He is a young pup, though, so sometimes can be a bit excitable and distracted easily, but what puppy isn't? Chevy is VERY social with people and wants to make friends with who whoever comes his way. He has lived with young children, and is friendly with them, but a bit exuberant, so toddlers beware. He also is experienced with cats and is very playful with them! He is selective with dogs--some he likes, some he does not (mostly little dogs are a no go). He still gets into some puppy mischief--like chewing and digging, but he already has potty training down pat. An active home who can keep him stimulated physically will reap the rewards of his balanced behaviors mentally! Available at the Josephine County Animal Shelter, 1420 Brookside Blvd. Grants Pass/Merlin, across from the Grants Pass Airport. Hours: 10 AM - 4 PM Monday - Saturday. You are encouraged to visit and bring your dog to the shelter for a meet and greet where staff is ready to assist on the walking trails and play yards. With few exceptions, all adoptable adults are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. 541 474-5458 Adoption fee for dogs are $125, for seniors over 7 years $50, for Veterans with presentation of government issued ID $62.50. Note: unless otherwise noted, we can not say if dogs do well with other dogs, livestock, chickens or cats.
