About Leo

Little Leo is a tiny Chihuahua at 4.9 pounds. He just turned two years old. Leo is a happy, playful dog who is looking for a home that is used to dogs of his tiny size. He likes to be held and snuggled. Leo came to us directly from his previous owners. They decided it was better to find him another home because they had lots of children in and out of their home and it wasn't a safe place for Leo. Leo should be in a home without young children or large dogs. He gets along with other small dogs and would like a play buddy his size. Leo enjoys small stuffed toys and chew toys. He likes to sleep in bed with his people but is also happy with a dog bed in the room. He is kennel trained and will sometimes go to his open kennel for a nap when he wants to be left alone. Like many Chihuahuas he likes to find the warm places in the home like sunshine coming through a window, a dog bed or curled up in blankets. Leo is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested and microchipped. Leo walks well on a leash and should be walked with a harness for his comfort and safety.
