About Harper

7 year old foxhound, Harper, is simply amazing!!! She's a 'people dog' who is so pliable and softhearted. She is superb with kids and is amiable & well-mannered when meeting new people. Harper is fabulous in the house as well; she's crate trained & potty trained. She's not a big barker as some hounds are; just an occasional 'woof' is the most you'll hear from her. She walks well on a leash so is a pleasure to take on daily sojourns. This girl is also excellent with other dogs; she doesn't really engage in play but can often be found exploring interesting scents or running with her play yard buddies. Harper is a 'leaner' as are many hounds; when you scratch her ears or pet her head, she presses against you so that you won't stop. She's just a charmer and so enjoyable to have around. Everyone who meets her exclaims about what a sweet soul she is! Although not a high energy girl, Harper will need a fenced in yard so that she can enjoy the outdoors; long walks or hikes would also give her great pleasure as she very much enjoys outings.
