About Chipper

5/21/18-S Chipper is a male Shar Pei Mix and is 1 yrs old and weighs 28 lbs. Vet care was provided $157.75. Presented for squinting both eyes. Examination reveals severe entropion (inward rolling) of both upper and lower eyelids, which is a very common abnormality in Shar Pei dogs. The eyelids have rubbed superficial abrasions on both of Chipper's corneas, which is very painful, causing him to squint. The entropion could have been exacerbated by seasonal allergies. We performed a fluoescein stain on Chipper's eyes to diagnose the corneal ulcers. We prescribed a topical antibiotic, Neo-poly-bac, a topical anti-inflammatory, flurbiprofen, and an oral anti-inflammatory, Rimadyl. All medications should be continued until his recheck on Monday or Tuesday. Will be available 5-26-18.
