Sex: Female

****The website is updated several times daily. Please do not email to ask if there are still dogs/puppies available.**** PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! YOU WILL FIND THE ANSWER TO ALL BASIC QUESTIONS BELOW. Please read carefully Before emailing. *Dixie is a lovely 3 year old Beagle. She is currently Extremely heavy weighing 39 pounds. She needs to be closer to 25 pounds to be her healthiest. Dixie was recently surrendered to rescue due to some major changes in her families home. *Dixie has lived with a family since she was 8 weeks old. In that home she lived with babies/toddlers, cats, dogs, and other small pets. She has done well with everyone she has met while in foster care as well. Dixie is house trained and is fine being crated at night or if her foster family is gone. Dixie loves her fenced yard and is having fun playing with her dog foster brothers. She is learning more about leash walking and is doing well. Dixie was trained on an invisible fence in her previous home. While most hounds are not good candidates for invisible fencing, Dixie could have a refresher course and remember that training in a new home. *Each pup is spayed or neutered and current on their vet cares. *We do not hold or reserve dogs. We do not ship or fly. Prospective families must come to NORTHFIELD MN to meet. Aside from monthly adoption events, we do not meet in the Twin Cities* *Emails are answered in the order they are received. We are receiving a large number of emails, so answering promptly is our goal. If you are interested in adoption, your prompt responses are the best way to get through the adoption screening* *Paws First does not accept checks or credit cards. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DENY ADOPTIONS AT ANY POINT IN THE ADOPTION SCREENING PROCESS.* If you have read this far, you are ready to start the adoption process! Please email for the next step, which is a short email interview to get started.
