About Daxy

Daxy: 9 yr old chocolate/tan male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 11', 10 lb. Fully vetted. Owner give-up. This adorable little dog has gotten a raw deal in life. He had little to no healthcare, was obese, and had been locked in a bedroom because he reportedly snapped at a 1 yo child. He is such an affectionate little guy and would be perfectly happy snuggled with you under a blanket for hours. And despite being 9 yrs old he's quite spunky and wrestles with the resident puppy whenever she invites him. He loves everybody and everything including the small neighbor children who live on both sides. He is possessive of toys and bones but hasn't bitten when they're taken from him. He is slender now, his teeth are clean, he is current on vaccinations, heartworm preventative, and parasite protection. He'd do best in a home without cats or other small animals and needs to wear a belly band in the house. In spite of these two faults he is a delightful dog and would be a great addition to the right person's family.
