About Kong

Look at that smile! Kong makes us so happy, too! It's been fun to watch him come out of his shell! He is about one and a half years old and is neutered. We would like to find a home who has previous dog experience for Kong. Even though he is a super happy pup once he is comfortable, he can be timid upon meeting people. Delicious treats have been known to help him adjust quickly! Here are some great things about Kong! He was an A+ student in his previous home when it came to being house-trained. He also was crate-trained and not destructive when he was left out alone. Kong has always lived with children, we do think any kiddos in the home should be about 12 and older; he has quite a bit of energy! He is a smart boy - he knows how to sit, come, lay down, and shake paws! Kong enjoys going for walks, but sometimes can get tuckered out and takes the opportunity to lay down for a bit! He used to live with another doggie friend and really enjoyed being around him. Since being at the shelter, he's shown a positive interest in other dog-friendly pups! A home with other pooches may be nice for him! Check back for updates! Or just come in and ask to hang out with him!
