About Molly

Molly is a wonderful 9 year old walker hound that I acquired when my father became hospitalized and later died. I have had her for 6 plus years. Due to a job and location change I am looking for a new home for her. Molly was hit by a car when my father owned her and because of financial issues she was not given much needed vet care. This means that her hip fracture healed on its own, which now limits her range of motion. She is able to walk on all four but when she runs it is usually only on three legs. She is a true hound dog, and given the chance, her nose gets her in trouble. Molly will run in the neighborhood barking and sniffing looking for something to tree. She barks but has never harmed any of the neighborhood pets. Molly has major anxiety and is afraid of gun fire, thunder, fire works, or any loud noise. She whines and barks as do most hound dog breeds. Molly lives in a home with two other dogs and three cats. She is never tied outside for long periods of time because she is our family. She has never harmed any of my indoor cats but when she lived with my dad she did kill a couple of his barn cats. Because of this, Molly is never given free range of the house when we are not present. This is a very difficult decision for me but with moving many states away and with rental restrictions I am not sure what my choice is.
