About Rosie

Chihuahua mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Miss Rosie is an outgoing and very sweet girl. We aren't sure what type of small Terrier she's got mixed in there but we're positive she's not pure Chihuahua. She came out of a hoarding situation and was not used to new dogs and people coming into her life. She has adjusted very well to a myriad of new dogs and people and has turned into a very playful girl. She will make a great companion for someone who loves to be loved and kissed and snuggled. When you first meet Rosie she may bark a bit, but give her some treats and you are her new best friend. Give her an inch on your lap and she'll move in. She also loves to gaze out over her domain from the back of a couch or chair. She will make a great dog for alerting her family to things that don't belong but is not a nuisance barker at all. Give Rosie a chance to meet new dogs, cats and kids slowly and she should be good with them all. Patience and respect for where she came from is all she asks. If you would like to meet this lovely girl please read on or go directly to the adoption process page of our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org. All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. The application can be completed and submitted from our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - the link is found of the Adoption Process page. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live. Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
