About Skipper

Once upon a time there was a puppy born to a large litter in the rural hills of East Tennessee. The litter was raised by their momma dog and one by one given away to friends and acquaintances. This boy Skipper was the last of the litter and thankfully went home with a relative who knew the great things that being represented by a responsible rescue could be in finding a really great home. Little Skipper went up on the site and quickly his absolutely adorable pictures captured the heart of a family. They took him home. But it turns out they were busy and had a young child who had some health issues arise and ultimately 8 months later the family decided that little Skipper was just not right for their lifestyle. He needed guidance and direction and to be allowed to be a dog honestly. They just could not come to terms with his breed traits�'�| Hound/Pointer who loves to run and play hard and chase squirrels and birds and embrace life in a large way. We want him in a better fit and family who really loves who he is inside and out. This boy is now 11 months old and we are looking for the RIGHT and committed person or family who will love him for all the happy smiles, dear sweet soul and the enthusiasm for the great outdoors. He would be great with a companion dog in the home that is over 25 pounds and could play long and fully with him. Children over 8 years of age would be grand if they are ready for throwing a ball and letting this boy fetch over and over. Skipper is 42 pounds and fully grown. He has a great smile and even though a little shy at first he is ready to be make new friends if you are! He is dog friendly and thinks cats are interesting.
