About Chico

Chico is 1/2 Sheepdog and 1/2 Lab with grey and white coloring. Chico was adopted at the age of 10 weeks and he has been raised with 2 Labs and 4 kids. Chico is housebroken, leash trained and very loving. Being a sheepdog, he likes to have a job/keeping watch over the family. He barks at dogs walking by the house and when people come to the door. Chico does not jump on people coming in the house. He likes to be inside and out and generally is submissive and affectionate. Chico is not a picky eater and he has not had any health related issues. Chico is playful, loves to run outdoors, riding in the car, being pet and brushed, and appreciates sleeping in the sunshine or on his dog bed. Chico is an excellent companion and he adores the company of people. More lately, Chico has begun to assert dominance (particularly when attention- praise and petting- is given to another dog) and it may be best if he is placed in a home without children and other dogs. He likes undivided attention and can nudge other dogs out of the way. Chico has not hurt anyone but he has nipped one of our dog's ears, and most recently one of our children's ears, to remind each about who is boss.
