About Scampers

If you ever wonder why we rescuers don't always get a lot of sleep... We hate to preach but we received this lovely charming boy via a Facebook 'FREE' pet post. We DO NOT condone this type of 'ridding' yourself of your responsibility. Scampers was darn lucky one of our dedicated volunteers saw his post. It could have been a different ending, one like too many. Scampers owner asked nothing of the people taking her cat and they brought him with no carrier, no blanket, no belongings to make him comfortable; all they brought with was a broken rabies tag. When our volunteer met the owner to pick him up (at a gas station!), he had been carsick and was drooling and all that was said was 'you might want to wipe him off'. ���� If it wasn't for our dedicated volunteers, Scampers may have been on his way to being used as a bait cat, sold to a testing facility, neglected, abused or tortured. Instead he is safe, will be well cared for, LOVED and we will search for the purfect furever home for a purfect rescued cat. WELCOME 'HOME' SCAMPERS!
