About Quill

Adoption Fee: $100
Border Collie
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

This is Quill. He is a 1 year old border collie. He is an extreme piebald border collie and unfortunately is deaf. He was originally a rescue of ours from an unfortunate situation, but due to unfortunate matters that are private, we have opted to find him a home better suited to him. I have dedicated a lot of time working with quill in training and otherwise. He knows several hand signs: sit, stay, wait, down, sit up, leave it, come. He also knows how to recall with the vibrate of an ecollar. We were working on sharpening his obedience and have been to classes. He is a very bright, high energy boy. I would prefer that he go to a home WITHOUT OTHER DOGS. He needs lots of room to run, play, and an active human to call his own! He can be sometimes skiddish, and stubborn. He also LOVES to chew. That aside, he is an all around lovely dog that loves to cuddle and be around you. He walks lovely on the leash, but can get a bit excitable when he sees other people or dogs! He has a lot of love to give. I WILL and picky with who I rehome him to. Please do not contact me if you just want a pretty dog. He is a HIGH ENERGY dog with special needs. Quill is NEUTERED. He is up to date on shots and heart preventative. He will require a rehoming fee of $100 What I require in an owner: -a home WITHOUT other dogs -a veterinary reference -preferably a yard, but if you want to exercise/work with him and don't have a yard, thats fine too. -a home without VERY young children. children are fine, but he will knock very young ones down. -someone who will be patient with him, and understand that as a special needs dog he has flaws. he has anxiety as well. he can deal with some separation anxiety. if you are a person who will be patient with him and work thru these issues, you will be good for him. Please feel free to text me if you have any questions.
