About Butterscotch

Butterscotch is an 8 year old chow chow who weighs about 57 pounds. Her owners took very good care of her and her sister but they ended up in a crowded shelter when they couldn't care for them any longer. Butterscotch is a very friendly girl and was a staff favorite! She is easy to groom and even likes to play with tennis balls! She is a wonderful girl who is sure to make a chow lover very happy! Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all volunteer, foster based rescue. We take applications online and hold adoption events at Petsmart in Waynesboro, Va every Saturday. A $175.00 adoption fee ($200 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough) , microchipped and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dentals and major surgeries.
