OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for ADULT dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. Hi!!! I'm Sheldon, a sweet and sensitive puppy who loves nothing more than the love and attention of my humans. People may overlook me at first because I'm nervous and get scared if I don't know you well--but it's only because I didn't get the love that I needed as a small puppy. But give me some time and patience and I will give you my entire heart! I'm a people person and nothing makes me happier than making my humans proud! For this reason, I'm a super quick learner, so I've figured out potty training quickly (though I still have occasional accidents in the house)! I also go right into my kennel on command, and quietly hang out all night without a peep and no accidents! I have come out of my shell so much with the help of my sister's bravery and my foster family's patience with me, and have become your typical rambunctious little puppy, always wanting to play! Even though I'm still a little introverted, I love getting head scratches, playing fetch, and cuddling up on my foster mom's lap after a hard day of playing. I have quickly become attached to my people and like to follow them around the house wherever they go, and mostly hang out between their feet. Car rides are my favorite! I love sticking my head out the window and feeling the breeze through my floppy ears! I would do great in a home that has the time to help me acclimate to being a part of a loving family. It would be great if I can be adopted with my sister, Inky since she's my absolute best friend and helps me feel like the comfortable, confident little boy that I can be--but as long as I can find a home with other calm dogs for me to play with, or humans to give me all of their love, then I will be your happy little boy forever! Sheldon is a Male Poodle/Terrier Mix and is estimated to be 19 weeks as of 7/5/18. PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
